The bi-annual collective sale at Westbrook Head, Thorncliffe continues to be a success with the largest entries to date recorded during 2008 with 2100 lots in May and almost 1400 forward in September, with excellent prices recorded at both. The highlight of the May sale was a JCB 3CX realising £14,000. A Roadless tractor created much interest from collectors nationwide and after spirited bidding sold for £6,000. A McHale bale wrapper topped the implement section achieving £3,350. In the September sale the top spot was taken by a Takeuchi 1.5 tonne, 2006 model mini digger looking well sold at £7,100. The September sale also offered a good range and variety of tractors with ‘something to suit everybody’. At the top end a ‘K’ Reg. Case 5140 sold for £5,700, an ‘F’ Reg.
